Improving Outlook Means More Trucking Jobs

An improving outlook in the American economy translates to more opportunities in Trucking.

U.S. employers added a robust 195,000 jobs in June and many more in April and May than previously thought. The job growth suggests a stronger economy, and the improvement is reflected in trucking job opportunities.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports that the trade, transportation and utilities sector accounted for nearly 50,000 of the new hires made in June.

Economic growth in other sectors directly impacts opportunities in trucking. As retailers stock up, more commercial trucking jobs are available.

Industry improvement has been steady since bottoming out in 2010, and hiring has grown five of six months in 2013.
